《Casa BRUTUS》1999年首次製作Design Hotel特集，當時它還是季刊誌。後來，在2002年，出版了一本名為《DESIGN HOTEL 100》的書。不過，當時介紹的酒店大多是海外，日本酒店只有少數。25年過去，日本設計酒店的情況產生了巨大變化。外資豪華酒店和Lifestyle Hotel紛紛湧入市場，許多由明星建築家設計的旅館也不斷出現，京都繼續經歷新酒店開業潮。我們將總結過去10年日本最好的Design Hotel — 日本已然成為設計酒店大國！
 
“The Best Design Hotels”
Casa BRUTUS first featured design hotels in 1999, when it was still a quarterly magazine. Later, in 2002, a book called “DESIGN HOTEL 100'' was published. However, at that time, most of the hotels introduced were overseas, and there were only a few Japanese hotels. 25 years have passed since then, and the situation surrounding design hotels in Japan has changed dramatically. Foreign-affiliated luxury hotels and lifestyle hotels are entering the market one after another, and many inns designed by star architects are also appearing, and Kyoto continues to experience a rush of new hotel openings. We will summarise the best design hotels of the past 10 years in Japan, which has become such a hotel powerhouse!
